So...... In a fan-story made by me and my sister.
Masanori's in. One of the Seven Spears of Shizugatake. SW fans would know him as one of the "Three Idiots" consisting of him, Kato Kiyomasa and Mitsunari. So I decided to make my version of Basara's Masanori, and here goes!
Design:

Although I don't like 'em raw.... I like tamago sushi.
So that's why Masanori's all yellow. X">
Black: Seaweed
Green: Wasabi
White: Rice
Brown: That.... Thing you use to make sushi. Some wooden thing you put ingredients on and roll to make sushi
Bow: Inspired by the calendula. I was really into Calendula Requiem at the time.
Hair: Sushi and nori. Sushi is rolled, and nori is rectangular, hence the hair.
Yellow: Egg
Oh, and those are bells on his shorts. It's to accentuate his slightly obnoxious and loud personality. He's also a bit impolite, but still a nice person with dreams of justice and equality.
Backstory (Warning, some elements might stray from actual history. This is Basara, after all.):
When he was 14, he was separated forcefully from his parents because of a rebellion against Hideyoshi led by the Shima family. His family was highly suspected to be involved in the rebellion, but Hideyoshi spared them, in one condition: Masanori must serve him. The family, including Nori, agreed to the conditions, but Nori grew bitter. That caused Nori to hate Hideyoshi's guts.
He eventually jumped to this conclusion: "You gotta kiss the more powerful guy's ass to survive."
Hence, he can't really grasp the concept of loyalty. He eventually befriended Kiyomasa and Mitsunari, but sometimes he would argue with Mitsunari whenever he risks his life for Hideyoshi, saying that loyalty is just going to kill him. Kiyomasa took on the position of middleman and constantly stops their arguing whenever the bickering gets bad.
Nori shuts up about his hatred towards Hideyoshi in front of Mitsunari, because he saw that Kiyomasa worked hard to get them to make peace. He looks up to Kiyomasa as an older brother (Have no info on his siblings, so I assumed he's the only child), which is why he calls Kiyo with "niisan". He's also 18 years old like Sakon (Will upload later) in the current timeline (SB3). He hated the upperclassmen, so he decided to keep his "country boy" persona, reflected on his fashion sense.
He doesn't like the social ladder.
Because well, the powerful people who decide the rules sometimes act like they can do everything they want, and everyone has to accept it.
All of the Seven Spears left Mitsunari, for different reasons.
For Masanori's, it's because he can finally get out of the Toyotomi, and declared, obnoxiously, that he's going to Ieyasu, and Kiyomasa will be coming with him. Unfortunately, seeing how much Mitsunari has suffered (Backstabbed, lost his lord), Kiyomasa disagreed with him, argued with him and dragged him to Mitsunari's room to clear up the misunderstanding. But they had to really leave for the East when they overheard Mitsunari screaming about executing them when they were in front of his room.
His fate was sealed by Muneshige in a battle caused by the recklessness of a fellow Spear, Yasuharu Wakisaka. He took a blow meant for Kiyomasa, and told him to leave him for dead, lest they'd both die.
